Christa grew up in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She started swimming with the Lake Havasu Stingrays at age 8. San Luis Obispo and the SLO Tigers swim team became her new home when she started her senior year in High School. She currently attends Cal Poly and swam for them in her Freshman year.

Christa is an Animal Science major, planning to go to Veterinary School when she finishes at Cal Poly. She hopes to eventually work as a small animal veterinarian.
